The next couple of weeks sped by in a flurry of activity. Richie and his partners were in the process of buying the bar on Melrose Avenue. They were busy trying to get a small business loan to do some upgrades on the bar they had named “Philly on Melrose”. The bar was scheduled to open in a couple of weeks if all went according to plan. The old owner was desperate to sell since he was moving across country to be with his children. He was leaving all the fixtures and liquor. Getting a liquor license was no problem since Leo’s brother-in-law worked for the department who issued the license and was pushing theirs through within the next week.
In the meantime Maddie’s parents had closed on their condo and had spent a couple of days in L.A. buying furniture and decorating their new place. Both Maddie and David were thrilled with the thought, as they both felt better knowing that Maddie's parents would be in town when the still nameless Bean arrived.
Blue Moon was busier than ever, but since Maddie was 6 months pregnant now David had insisted that she stay in the office doing phone calls and paperwork which bored her to death, although she knew it was the most reasonable thing to do. Still, she was unhappy with the situation and missed David terribly. David seemed either to be out in the field with Bert or helping Richie out with the bar.
That Monday was a chilly, rainy day which matched Maddie’s mood. When she came home that night after a long tedious day of follow up phone calls and writing reports she took a quick shower and put on her short silk robe. She wasn’t expecting David to come home before 8 or 9, so she was heading to the kitchen to make herself a salad and some soup when she heard the front door opening. She raced down the stairs and was filled with happiness when she saw David walk through the door.
Her eyes feasted on him – scruffy face with more than the usual 5 o’clock shadow, his jacket was over his arm, shirt rolled up to reveal his muscular forearms, his tie was as usual loosely tied and his hair was sticking up in messy spikes – and he looked so sexy and hot that a well-known ache spread between her thighs.
“David!” Maddie cried happily. “You’re home.”
“You’ve turned into quite the detective, Maddie,” he quipped as he threw his jacket over the coat hook and began to rip off his tie.
Maddie approached him slowly and with swaying hips, her sultry expression and that look in her eyes clueing him in to her mood. His dick moved in his pants as his eyes took in her curvy body and long shapely legs; as usual, his dick detected her horniness earlier that he did and reacted to it. Damn, she gets sexier every day! was his thought as she stood in front of him with a smile twitching on her lips. “I missed you,” she whispered as her fingers began to unbutton his shirt and her lips rained a path of fire across his rugged jawline.
He chuckled which shot a bolt of heat directly to her already throbbing core. Maddie molded her body to David as her hips moved seductively against him. “Very much,” she added huskily.
“Damn babe, you are one horny hussy tonight.” His big hands covered her butt and pulled her against his huge boner with made her gasp. “You want this, Maddie, don’t you?” His voice was velvety smooth.
“Oh yes.” she moaned as her fingers traced the bulge in his pants. “And I want it now.”
David untied the belt of her robe to reveal her shapely curves as he pushed her down to her knees in front of him. He pushed his still pant covered dick in her face. “Kiss it. Babe,” he purred causing Maddie to groan in passion. “Make love to my cock.” David’s voice was melted caramel; his hands began to play with her swollen breasts.
Maddie began to pull down David’s zipper and was just about to take his dick out when she heard the front door open and then a loud wolf whistle along with a chuckle that was not David’s. Then she heard the unmistakable voice of David’s brother. Her heart skipped more than a beat, and she almost jumped to her feet – which wasn't quite easy in her condition - and she just wanted to die.
David immediately pulled her robe closed and zipped up his pants in a split second. He turned to see his brother’s wolfish face smirking their way. “Way to go, bro!” Richie laughed.
“What the hell are you doing here and how the fuck did you get in?” David barked.
Richie couldn’t take his eyes off of Maddie who had quickly gotten to her feet and retied her robe. “Came by to return your keys.” He rattled the keys in David’s direction like he was ringing a bell. “Hey, you didn’t have to stop on my account,” he teased. Richie didn’t even stop to consider that Maddie might be red with embarrassment. To him it was a normal part of life and no big deal. And a great chance to tease his brother.
Maddie’s neck and face were beet red with embarrassment and a slow burning anger at David; conveniently forgetting that she was the one who had come on to him. She turned to David with a menacing stare and pointed her finger at him like it was a loaded gun. “You! You!” She spat out, “all you think about his sex, sex, sex!”
David was flabbergasted. Was she kidding? Her hands had been all over him from the minute he had stepped in the door. “Are you nuts, lady?” David’s voice boomed, “you’re the one who can’t keep your greedy hands off of me!”
“How dare you?” Maddie growled. She knew that David was right and that only fueled her anger and embarrassment.
(overlapping dialogue)
Maddie: “You’re the one who wanted you know what – and you’re the one who pushed me to my knees. I’m pregnant you know – don’t you ever think of that?! NOOO – you only think about that beast between your legs. You can’t keep your hands off of me!”
David: “Are you kidding me, babe? You were on me since the minute I walked in the door. I know what you wanted. You and your greedy little hotbox. You can’t keep your hands off of me!”
Both together: “Are you kidding? You’re nuts!”
“Whoa guys, I didn’t mean to start a fight. Let me leave and you can get back to what you were doing...” Richie started to back up, starting to feel a little guilty now.
Maddie and David yelled in unison: “Shut up, Richie!!”
“Hey guys, don’t take this out on me!” Richie told them with his hands raised to ward off their attack.
“Get out, Richie!” David pointed his finger to the door. “Now!”
Maddie threw a venomous glance David’s way. “Leave your brother alone!”
“He’s my brother, mind your business!” David snapped back, very angry himself now.
“Hey guys, what's going on here?!” a female voice suddenly called but remained unheard.
Maddie, David and Richie were loudly screaming over one another and didn’t see or hear Terri walk into the house. Terri didn’t know what all the fighting was about, but it was getting louder and louder by the second. She had tried shouting to get their attention, but nothing worked until she put her fingers in her mouth and blew a loud, shrill whistle through her lips which had the three combatants look over her way.
Maddie was the first to stop yelling and looked at Terri with a sheepish expression. What must the other woman think of them? “Terri!” she called out to her, driving the men's attention to the new visitor.
David immediately pointed to Richie, “It was his fault. He just walked in on us!”
Maddie got mad all over again. “No, it’s your fault!” she yelled at David. She knew it was not his fault but of course she couldn’t blame herself – that would make the whole situation even more embarrassing.
David shook his head quickly as if to clear it. “My fault!” He pointed at Maddie. “No babe, you started it! This is all your fault!”
The three began to yell back and forth at each other again, throwing more accusations in each other's faces, until Terri lost her patience and let out another, louder whistle. The three turned to her and yelled: “Stop that!”
Terri scowled at them like a weary mom with naughty children. “Can you hear yourselves?” she asked shaking her head at them. “What happened here?”
David pointed to Maddie. “She wanted to fool around, and then,” he pointed to his brother, “HE just walked in and caught us almost…”
“Addison!!” Maddie screeched, embarrassed all over again.
David glared at Maddie. “You are the one who started it, babe. Admit it!” He ruffled his hair. “Besides, nothing happened, so what the hell are you starting a scene for no good reason?!”
Finally, Terri put together the scenario. “Okay, now listen, all of you! You are all acting like children!” She put her hands to her hips and frowned at each of them. “David, for Heaven's sake, take the time and put yourself in Maddie’s shoes for one moment!” She shook her head at him. “Of course she’s embarrassed! I would be, too! Every woman would!” Suddenly, David seemed to have lost his verve and looked down at his feet.
Maddie folded her arms and raised her chin a little triumphantly. “Thanks, Terri…”
Terri whirled around to her with bouncing curls. “Not so fast, Maddie!” she cut her off. Maddie’s eyes widened, but Terri continued. “Stop blaming others for what you started! All the misery in the world isn’t always David's fault!” Maddie pouted but, surprisingly enough, remained silent, all her red-hot ire suddenly gone.
Terri wasn't done yet; she turned to Richie. “And you!” she threw her hands in the air, her fingers curved into claws, like she wanted to strangle him. “What nerve to just barge into your brother’s house and then, instead of quietly retreating making a joke of what you almost saw!”
Richie licked his lips nervously. Somehow, the thought of having made a bad impression on Terri, made him angry at himself. “Terri, listen...”
“No, you just shut up and listen, Richard Addison!” And that moment Richie got a funny feeling in his stomach. His heart began to beat faster as Terri admonished him. She was one hell of a woman! “Seriously, Richie,” she raged on, “I mean -- what the hell!!”
He shrugged sheepishly. “You're right. What was I thinking...”
“Obviously, not much!” she snarled. Maddie and David had both fallen silent; David was shuffling his feet a little uncomfortably, and Maddie just wished she had on a little more clothing.
Richie cleared his throat. “I think I'll just leave these here...” He carefully put down the keys on the little telephone table beside the door. “Sorry guys,” he apologized and turned to Maddie. “Sorry, Maddie. What can I say... I'm an ass.”
Maddie shook her head and felt more miserable than anything else about how the situation had turned out. “Never mind, Richie,” she replied, trying to put some firmness in her voice. “I'll just...” she tugged at her short silk robe and turned around without another word to rush upstairs.
Richie quietly shut the door behind him, and David turned to Terri. “Welcome to our world,” he commented ironically, “never a dull moment. Sorry for the blood bath.”
Terri punched him in the shoulder. “Yeah well, David, sometimes a man should just say sorry and then shut the hell up,” she told him and rolled her eyes.
David was indignant. “What, even when I'm right?!”
“When your woman is hormonal, yes,” Terri replied with a sarcastic touch to her voice. “Especially when you're right.” She smirked and nudged him playfully. “You make her pay later.”
David snorted a little laugh, a wave of friendly affection for the brunette woman washing over him, and kissed her on the top of her head. “I love how your mind works, Knowles. So what brought you here?” He frowned, suddenly worried, and scrutinized her. “Is there anything wrong with the bambino?”
Terri shook her head. “No, don't worry,” she answered, “I just dropped by to bring back your copy of What To Expect When You're Expecting.” She handed him the book. Before he could say anything, Maddie came back from upstairs she had changed into a longer, more modest robe. David pressed his lips together, still a little angry at her but also a little elated by the thought that he would do exactly what Terri had suggested – he would make Maddie pay later, and he already had a few ideas for that payback.
“Well, I'm gonna jump in the shower,” he announced and added with a filthy sideways look at Maddie: “Clean all the dirt off my one-track mind, hopefully.” And with that, he turned around and climbed the spiral staircase, Maddie's longing gaze following him, fixed on his well-shaped butt, and she sighed with remorse.
“Terri, I'm sorry you had to witness this,” she told her friend soberly. “I really don't know what's gotten into me...”
Terri nodded. “Well, I know what's not gotten into you,” she commented dryly, and Maddie blushed crimson red. She still wasn't used to slippery girls' talk, even if with Terri she seemed to loosen up a little with regard to that. “Really, it's fine,” Terri went on. “Believe me, Maddie, I understand you more than you know. Don't think you're the only one with crazy urges...” she shrugged. “You're just in the lucky position to... well.” Terri cleared her throat meaningfully.
Maddie nodded ruefully. “I know...” she answered with misery in her voice, fighting the damn hormonal urge to cry. She was embarrassed, sad and horny, and that was a more than weird combination.
Terri felt sorry for her temperamental friend and nudged her in an almost tender gesture. “Hey,” she soothed, “look at the bright side – you get to apologize.” She wiggled her eyebrows, and Maddie couldn't help but smile when Terri added in a conspiratorial voice: “But you might want to do that in private.”
Terri was still smiling to herself when she descended the stairs to her parked car. She was only half surprised to find Richie standing there waiting for her, leaning nonchalantly against the hood; something in his composure though told her that he was not half as nonchalant as he made himself appear. He smiled at her sheepishly.
“Sorry again,” he said tentatively.
Terri rolled her eyes. “I'm not a super sensitive wallflower, Richie, but in Maddie's place I would have been mortified too.” She shook her head. “Sometimes you guys could really be a bit more understanding.”
“I know... sometimes my mouth gets ahead of my brain.” He shrugged in a disarming way. “I believe it's called the Addison Syndrome.”
Terri couldn't help but laughing. “Yeah, well, I think that applies to every one of us in one way or another,” she admitted. “Want a lift home?”
Richie smiled the Addison trademark half-smile. “I was afraid you wouldn't ask.”
“Only fair,” she replied, “since you helped me get the car...” She unlocked the doors.
“Oh, I'm glad it's running smoothly!” Richie commented eagerly. “We were lucky to find it.”
“Yes, we were.” Terri started the engine and headed to the street where Richie's friend Pete lived where he was currently staying, still looking for a place of his own. Terri had driven him home a few times after they had had dinner at the Hayes/Addison home, and she knew the way.
While they were driving in relative silence, after a while Richie cleared his throat. “Ah, Terri... can I ask you something?”
“Sure, what is it?”
“That Lamaze thing you all registered for...” he paused for a moment, and Terri looked at him puzzled. He cleared his throat again. “Are you in the same class?”
Terri shook her head. “Oh, no. I'm at least two months ahead of Maddie. We're attending the same school but different courses. Mine started already last week.”
“But... isn't that a bit difficult for you, I mean...” he hesitated for a moment and then went on: “I mean, for you – being alone?”
Terri sighed. “Well, there is usually a nurse to help out the women who don't have a coach.”
“A coach?” Richie echoed.
Terri smiled to herself, pleased by his interest. “Yes,” she confirmed, “it's called a coach. Basically, the point of Lamaze class is for the moms to learn how to breath in and out at the right time to help you relieve the pain when you give birth and control your body,” she explained. “The coach's job is to help his partner through the pain and encourage her to listen to her body – a woman's instincts normally tell her when to push and when to hold on, but that instinct can be blurred by the pain. That's when the coach comes into the picture.”
“And that nurse plays the coach for you during class?” Richie asked.
Terri nodded. “Exactly.” If she found it weird that a man was that interested in the details of Lamaze class and what was going on in the labor room, she didn't show it.
“But, uhm... that nurse, she won't go into the labor room with you?” he wanted to know.
Terri laughed. “No, of course not.”
“Then...” he paused again, obviously looking for the right words. “Where's the point in you going to Lamaze class if you don't have a coach to use what you've practiced?”
She frowned. “It's still helpful to learn the techniques,” she replied almost a little briskly. “I'm gonna have to listen to my instincts extra closely, I guess.” Suddenly, she pulled the car over to the curb and stopped it. She turned to him and inquired: “Richie, what is this questioning all about?”
He cleared his throat again, obviously nervous this time. “Well, honestly I was gonna ask you if... I mean, it would...” he stumbled over his own words, and Terri cut him off by snapping her fingers in front of his face.
“Hey, Adman!” she admonished. “Focus!”
That helped. Richie chuckled, then directly looked at her with a rare seriousness in his eyes. “I could be your coach,” he blurted out.
“What?!”
“I could be your coach,” he repeated slowly, emphasizing every word. “Go to Lamaze class with you, help you learn all that stuff.”
She raised her hands. “Richie, that's really sweet of you, but I told you there's the nurse...”
“But she won't come to the labor room with you!” he interrupted.
“Yeah right, and you would?” Terri shot back a little angrily. She wasn't sure what was going on in his head, and she didn't have the nerve to find out. She had to concentrate on herself and the bambino, as David used to call it.
Richie looked at her with puppy eyes. “Of course I would!” he replied with righteous indignation, and Terri regretted snapping at him.
“That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard,” she said with a frown. “Why would you do that?”
“Because we're friends, and friends help each other out!” The way he was talking with his hands reminded Terri very much of David.
“Look,” she said softly and put her hand on his arm. “I really do appreciate your offer, and I believe you're serious about it, but...” she shook her head. “I don't think this is a good idea.”
“Why?” Richie exclaimed in exasperation. “Isn't it better to do the lessons with a friend than with a stranger? Better to have a friend with you than no coach at all?”
She sighed. “Richie, I can't risk that your enthusiasm fades away and...”
“Great!” he interrupted in an angry voice. “Spill it, what did Dave say about me?”
Terri fell silent for a moment and scrutinized Richie with a very thoughtful look. Finally she said: “Actually, he said you're immature, a jerk, never serious...”
Richie growled: “I'm gonna kick his ass to the...”
“But,” she went on firmly, “reliable when it comes to things that really matter.”
Richie was left with his mouth hanging open in surprise when he heard what Terri told him. “That's what he said?!” he asked incredulously.
Terri smiled. “Cross my heart.” She made a little cross over her heart with her right index finger.
He shrugged. “But then...”
She started the engine again. “I'll think of it, okay?”
He nodded eagerly. “Okay.” Then he pressed his lips together and admonished himself to keep his mouth shut, in order not to spoil anything with one of those stupid remarks that sometimes seemed to tumble out of his mouth before he could stop them. His offer had been spontaneous and had surprised himself, but he found that he was serious about it.

When Terri left Maddie stood alone in the middle of her entrance hall pondering what the other woman had said. She knew she had been wrong to put the blame on David when she had been the one who had been all over him from the moment he had walked in the door. But being caught on her knees reaching into David’s pants was bad enough, but letting everyone know it had been her horniness who had started it was simply mortifying. But then – why should it be so mortifying? she thought suddenly. They were two adults in love who were going to get married – and who thought they were in the privacy of their own home. Still it was awful to think someone had witnessed that moment of intimacy.
Maddie sighed deeply. She really needed to stop blaming David for everything that went wrong. Walking slowly up the stairs, Maddie knew she had some groveling to do – and why did that thought make her juices flow and her nipples harden? She felt the ache between her legs throb as she walked into the bedroom and saw David emerging from the bathroom with a towel hung low on his hips. Her mouth felt dry when he turned to her with green lasers.
Without a word, David turned his back on her deliberately and began to dry his hair with the towel he had in his hands. He was still pissed at how she always tried to make him out to be the bad guy – not because of that little incident that just had happened, but because that seemed to be a pattern with her, and had been from the very beginning. He was tired and cranky from his long day with Bert and didn’t want any argument with Maddie. Although she loved her madly, there were times when he wondered if her complicated, demanding nature was too much for even a man who loved her completely like him could handle – and this was one of those times. But then, of course, he knew that he could handle it – he had no other choice anyway, as this cranky bitch with the golden heart was his lifeline.
He figured though she was up for a fight, probably even more mad at him because she had been scolded by Terri which must have been a real downer for her, and a screaming fit was the last thing he wanted tonight. He heard Maddie call his name but surprisingly her voice didn’t sound at all angry – it actually sounded plaintive and sad.
Maddie felt her heart clench when David turned away from her. The last thing she wanted was his anger or to argue with him. She knew she had been wrong, and she was feeling miserable about it. She put her hands over her face. “I’m sorry,” she muttered tonelessly behind her hands.
“What did you say?” David had heard her apology, but he wanted her to repeat it to his face. They needed to talk about how she attacked and blamed him for things that weren’t his fault – he knew he had to address this.
Maddie removed her hands from her face. David was staring at her with green emeralds; the towel slung low on his muscular body, and the ache between her legs throbbed. “I said I was sorry,” she repeated and looked at him with blue heat. “I just felt so terrible when Richie walked in on us while...” she shrugged a little helplessly. “Can't you understand that?”
“Of course I understand that,” David replied firmly. “And I wasn't too pleased about it either. I think I made that pretty clear with Richie. What more could I do?”
She looked away from his eyes. “I know...”
David pursed his lips and nodded slowly. “Okay... but why do you always blame me?” He shook his head. “I’m getting tired of defending myself for things that you know I haven’t done – why?”
Maddie now shook her head. “I know, David.” He heard the remorse in her voice and melted. “I can’t say that I won’t do it again, but I will try not to.” She approached him warily afraid that he would turn away from her again.
Watching Maddie walk toward him with her robe molded to her sexy curves made the remnants of his anger dissolve and his dick harden. He was bewitched by his complicated blonde and had already forgiven her because he knew she was really sorry, but he couldn’t let her off that easily. He raised an eyebrow as she neared him. The smell of her perfume wafted over his senses. “You’ve been a very bad girl.” He shook his head like a weary teacher at an impudent student. “Again.”
“I’m sorry, David,” she told him pressing her body against his as her hands caressed his rock hard butt.
He didn't back away but resisted the urge to grab her into his arms and kiss her senseless. “Yes, I know you’re sorry, babe, but you have to learn to be a good girl,” he purred. “That is until I want you to be bad.” He nipped her neck, then gently pushed her away from him. “I think you need to be taught a few lessons on how you should treat your man.” David’s voice purred over her causing her body to shiver with desire. Her legs opened spontaneously and her hard nipples were visible though her satin robe.
David could almost smell Maddie’s arousal; he knew she was already wet and that made his cock jerk under the towel. She was going to learn a lesson alright and she was going to love it.
“Well,” David yawned loudly, “I’m beat. Night.” He turned around heading for the bureau where he kept his boxers and sleepwear.
Maddie looked after him with her mouth agape. Night? Was he really going to go to sleep and leave her throbbing with arousal? “Night?” she repeated in an almost shocked voice, and he had to suppress a chuckle. Oh, she needed to get laid, and badly.
David turned to her with his lips curled into a sardonic smirk. He was playing with her; he had no intention of going to sleep. “Yeah, it was a long exhausting day, and I’m sooo tired.” He yawned again stretching his arms over his head pulling the towel up to reveal his massive erection.
Maddie nodded to his dick. “He doesn’t look tired.”
David shook his head. “Unlike some people,” – a green eyed stare – “I can control my urges. I’m just not in the mood tonight.”
Maddie glared at him. Really, how long was he going to drag this on? She was starting to get annoyed with him. “I said I was sorry, David. Now, you’re just being a bastard.”
David glared back, thoroughly enjoying this. “Really, honey if you think calling me names is gonna put me in the mood you’re sadly mistaken.” David walked over to Maddie who was standing by her vanity with a scowl over her face. A smirk covered David’s face as his eyes ran up and down her body. “But maybe, if you...” – he paused for effect and licked his lips – “...get down on your knees and beg me real good I’ll change my mind.”
How dare he? she thought furiously, her earlier remorse gone. He really was being an asshole. She threw David a filthy look that would have brought a lesser man to his knees. “Forget it!” she snapped icily.
He shrugged nonchalantly. “Fine with me, babe.” He raised a sardonic eyebrow. “It’s fine.” David dropped the towel and began to leisurely stroke his cock.
“I thought you can control your urges.” Maddie told him snidely but she couldn’t keep her eyes off of what he was doing. The sight of David’s magic hands pleasuring himself never failed to turn her on.
“Oh, but I do,” he replied smugly. “As you can see, I'm perfectly in control of the situation... and of my cock.”
She saw that he had a really tight grip and was working himself really good, and she wished nothing more than to replace his hands with hers, feel his pulsating, satin-wrapped steel under her fingers, stroke it and then put it into her throbbing core. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again and licked her lips. “I thought you weren’t in the mood.”
David chuckled causing Maddie’s blood to boil. “Just not in the mood to fuck you,” he told her tentatively, deliberately assuming a crude tone. But from the glint in her eyes he could tell that he had touched the right string in her. She was prepared to go on a rough ride. “Unless you do exactly what I say, and then maybe I’ll fuck you like you want.”
“Asshole!” Maddie couldn’t help throwing at him.
David shook his head, a wicked half-smile curling his lips. “Now is that the way to behave? Just do as you're told, honey – and you know I’ll make you reaaaalll happy.” His voice was thick as syrup and almost caused Maddie to moan just at the sound of it. David saw her reaction and strutted slowly toward her with his dick in his hands. He petted her face tenderly with one hand as he took her by surprise and ripped the robe off her with the other until she was naked in front of him. The hand that was caressing her face snaked down to her breasts his fingers slowly making circles over her erect nipples. “Nice tits, babe,” he commented. “Touch them for me. Make believe they’re my hands on you.” His demanding voice left no room for objections. “Show me what you want me to do to you.” He licked his lips in anticipation of what Maddie would do.
Slowly her hands reached up to the abundant breasts and began to stroke the nipples with her fingers, then she pushed her breasts together and squeezed them with her hands; her eyes were on David all the while she was touching herself.
“Oh yeah babe,” David whispered hoarsely. “I love that.” He stroked his erection as he sat on her vanity chair. “Yeah you do too.”
Maddie’s body was an inferno – watching David stroke himself as she touched her body, teasing and tempting her, was an incredible turn on. A few short months ago she could never have imagined herself playing with her body in front of any man – much less lewd, crude David Addison! Now he was her lover, future husband and her lifeline. A bolt of lava ran over her body as she saw the hunger in the green eyes she adored. Her legs unconsciously moved apart as the ache spread over her loins. Maddie no longer felt any shame or discomfort when she unleashed her wild, passionate side to David. Knowing that he loved her completely and secure in their relationship and in his love allowed Maddie to take pleasure in throwing her inhibitions to the wind and showing David the wild woman he had unleashed in her. A sultry smile covered her face as her hand moved almost automatically down her body heading to her throbbing core.
David couldn’t take his eyes off of Maddie. The sight of her playing with her breasts and obviously enjoying it almost pushed him over the edge. He had to stop stroking himself, or he knew he would fall into the pit of passion. Once again he marveled at the change in the woman in front of him. He loved how she was no longer afraid to show him the hot passionate woman she was. David knew that he was the man who had brought out the wild side in Maddie, and he reveled in it – sometimes to the point of smugness. He loved how she was willing to do just about anything to please him – and how she enjoyed doing whatever he asked her to do. Bossing Maddie around in the bedroom the way he couldn’t do in their everyday life made his blood boil. He couldn’t wait to fuck her thoroughly – but he was going to make her beg for it just the way they both loved. He watched as her hand moved toward her hotbox. “Did I say you could touch that hot greedy pussy?” David scolded her in a severe voice. “No, I didn’t.” He reached out and pulled her in front of him. “C’mere,” he ordered.
“I want you,” she told him her voice husky with need, “please, give it to me...”
“Patience, babe,” David drawled lazily as he pulled her down to her knees between his open legs. “First let me see how good you make love to my cock.” He pushed his jerking member toward her. “Go ahead babe, kiss it.” He smirked down at her. “Be a good girl and finish what you wanted to do before we were interrupted. You know you want to.”
Maddie felt a wave of arousal wash over her when she fell to her knees in front of David and began to run her hands over his muscular thighs before she bent her head to kiss the tip of his rock hard erection. Her tongue flicked out to lick it and she smiled when she heard David groan and felt his hands in her hair. She looked up at him with a sultry smile as her hand gripped his pulsating member. “Oh, you like that?” she purred. “I know you do.”
“Oh, you bet I love you on your knees like that... suck it babe. Do it good and I’ll fuck you just the way you love it,” he whispered, his voice sticky syrup. “But first I want to fuck your insult throwing, sassy mouth.”
Maddie wrapped her lips around his dick as her fingers stroked David’s shaft in that age old rhythm. When she heard David groan she took him deep in her mouth then she would pull her head back so that his dick was almost out of her mouth and then she would push her head forward – fucking her mouth with his cock.
David grabbed Maddie’s hair and pulled on it slightly as she pleasured him with her mouth, her head bobbing wildly up and down in increasing speed. David thrusted his hips upwards, threw his head back and cried out as his orgasm overtook him without warning. He had just had the best blowjob of his life. He felt his entire body vibrate with his climax.
Maddie kept up the motion until she knew that David’s orgasm was over. “Ya liked?” She asked as she rubbed her hands over his legs.
“I loved.” David groaned. “And now you’re gonna get it good.” David stood up, pulling her with him, and with one brush of his arm pushed everything off of her vanity; all her beauty objects landed noisily on the floor, but she didn't care. She gasped as David grabbed her hips, turned her around and practically threw her across the vanity. He thrusted into her from behind with one deep push. “Yeah, here it is, babe,” he growled when she cried out “Oh God!” He began to bang her mercilessly against the table careful that her belly was not against the hard surface. “Ya like like this, honey.” David pushed into her over and over again – harder and harder, with each thrust of his cock he went deeper and deeper.
Maddie felt David’s hot lips moving over her shoulders while she was thoroughly being screwed, as his fingers played between her legs. “Oh yes, David,” she almost sobbed. “That feels soo good,” she cried as she spiraled into a powerful orgasm that she felt all over her body.
“Oh yeah, come for me, babe,” David purred as he pressed her hard against the table as he continued to make love to her with angry stabs of his cock. He grabbed her hair and tilted her head a little roughly to the side so that he could kiss the side of her neck.
“Such a wanton little hussy,” he growled, pounding into her quivering hotbox faster and faster, making her cry out in ecstasy. “Think you can jump me and then put the blame on me?” He pumped a little harder. “I'm gonna show you.”
“Oh God, yes, please!” she begged. “Show me! Oh, fuck me hard, David! I love your big cock!” Maddie screamed louder as another orgasm rocked her body.
David felt Maddie pulsate around his and let go yelling her name as he came hard and deep inside of her. Both were all covered in sweat, but he wasn’t through yet. He picked Maddie up and carried her over to the bed, the pace suddenly changed. He pushed her on to her back as he covered her body with his bigger one, looking deeply into her eyes. “I love you babe,” he whispered as he began to kiss her passionately showing her how much he loved her as his hands ran all over her body. “God, you’re so beautiful...” he murmured as he began to move his tongue over her throat and neck playing over that spot until she was squirming underneath him.
“I love you too, David...” she breathed.
They made love slow and lovingly until they both fell into pieces together.
David brushed the damp hair off of Maddie’s face as he cuddled her in his strong arms. “Wow!” He declared with a throaty laugh.
Maddie giggled as she snuggled deeper into his arms her fingers playing with the damp hair on his chest. “So wonderful.”

The following day Maddie was going over the month’s business expense report. Her eyes were heavy and she had to blink repeatedly to try and stay awake. She hadn’t gotten much sleep the night before and a bright red stain covered her neck when her thoughts turned to the reason for her lack of slumber. She put her head back on her chair and sighed deeply. She was almost dozing off when the phone buzzed loudly interrupting her catnap. Maddie blinked frantically to ban the sleepiness from her eyes as she reached for the phone. A smile appeared on her face when she heard Terri’s bubbly voice greeting her.
“Hey Maddie, it’s Terri. How are you today?” her friend asked brightly. “Everything work out okay last night?” Terri did want to check that everything was okay with Maddie and David – althought she wasn't really doubting it – but she also wanted to run Richie’s surprising offer by her new friend. She was tempted to say yes to David’s dashing brother, but she wanted to make sure she wasn’t in for a fall if she trusted him enough to be her Lamaze partner. She knew Maddie would tell her the truth. She trusted her opinion. Besides, she had some experience with Addison men.
Maddie felt her blush deepen when she remembered the heated scene from the previous night Terri had witnessed; and she also couldn't help but feel embarrassed because she knew the other woman was pretty sure what had happened after she had left the scene. “Yes, everything worked out fine,” she told Terri in a slightly hushed voice.
“Great,” Terri replied and sounded genuinely pleased. “You know how guys are. Knuckleheads.” Both women shared a conspiratorial laugh.
“Oh you are so right,” Maddie agreed.
Terri paused for a moment and then cleared her throat. “Uh... speaking of knuckleheads... What’s the deal with Richie?”
Maddie was unsure what Terri was getting at. Had she talked to Richie last night after leaving the house? Maddie knew that Richie had helped Terri pick out a car last week but she wasn’t sure if anything was brewing although she did have her fingers crossed. Despite what David thought, Maddie liked the idea of Terri and Richie together; she believed that they would be good for each other. “Deal?”Maddie questioned, “what do you mean?”
“Well, is he reliable?” Terri specified. “Dependable? Responsible?”
Maddie didn’t know how to answer that. She knew he could be. “Well, yes as much as a single Addison man can be,” Maddie replied tentatively. She swallowed hard but decided to say what was on her mind. “I think – like my David – Richie just needs the right woman to see through all his nonsense and settle him down.”
Terri laughed. “Whoa, slow it down a little, Maddie... I don’t know about settling down or being the right woman for him but he’s offered to be my Lamaze partner.”
Good going, Richie! Maddie mentally hi-fived him, surprised but impressed and somehow proud of him. “I think that’s a wonderful idea!” she told Terri enthusiastically.
Terri hesitated a little, not sure how to put her fears in words. “You think so?” She sounded unsure. “I mean – he’s a young single guy. Why would he want to take on such a responsibility?”
“Well, he’s offered to be your coach, not your husband!” Maddie answered lightly. Yet, she thought to herself.
“True. True,” Terri murmured and sighed. “I just hope he won’t regret his offer.”
Maddie shook her head even though the other woman couldn’t see her. “No, I don’t think he will.” She could understand her friend's qualms, but she also knew from her own experience how important it was not to let one's life to be controlled by those fears. Maddie couldn’t believe the next words that flew out of her mouth. “Life is all about taking chances. I think you should take him up on his offer.” Maddie knew that just a few months ago she was afraid to take chances and live life. Thanks to David she had overcome her fears and now was happier than she ever had been. “Give Richie a chance. He’s a good guy. And a good friend to offer his help.”
“Yes, but I hope he knows that this is not something that he can just quit if he gets bored with it.” Terri was afraid to put a trust in Richie or any man right now in her life, but she thought how nice it would be to have someone by her side during childbirth. She was a strong woman and knew she could handle it by herself, but she also wished she didn't have to. “I mean, I don’t understand why he would even want to do it.” Terri repeated her worry.
“I think it's ingrained in the Addison men to help a damsel in distress,” Maddie told her friend and repeated, without knowing, what Richie had said when he had taken Terri home the evening after the dinner at the Hayes/Addison house. She smiled. “It absolutely sounds like something David would do.”
Terri was doubtful. “Come on, Maddie. David would offer to help out a woman when he knew the baby wasn’t his? Why?”
“Well, if he cared about the mom I don’t think the biological father would matter if he was no longer in the picture.” Maddie knew of course exactly what she was talking about, because she had lived through it. Suddenly she shuddered inwardly when she thought back to that uncertain time when they thought the Bean could be Sam’s. Thank God those fears had been unfounded; but even if it had brought complications to their lives had Sam been the father, Maddie knew David would always have been her solid rock. “Give him a chance, Terri,” she said warmly. “I think he genuinely likes you and wants to help.”
“I like him too. A lot,” she admitted, more to herself than to Maddie. “And he might be offended and hurt if I turn him down.”
“So sounds like you made up your mind.” Maddie smiled into the phone. Kismet?
Terri gave a short laugh. “Guess so. Suppose I’ll call Richie and give him the good news.”

Maddie told David about Richie’s offer to Terri that night when they lay in bed after making love.
“He did what?” David gasped.
“I take it you didn't know about it,” Maddie replied and tenderly wiped a tiny bead of sweat off of his temple.
He shook his head. “No, he knows he has to stay out of my radar for a bit after what happened last night.”
“So, what do you think about it?” Maddie wanted to know.
David thoughtfully pursed his lips. “I didn't expect that,” he answered, “and I'm not sure I like it.”
“Well, I do,” she said firmly. “I think they are good for each other.”
“What do you mean, good for each other?” David inquired although he already suspected what she meant.
Maddie shrugged. “I think they make a nice couple.”
“And I think you are hallucinating,” he replied dryly. “I asked Richie the day after our dinner. He said he just liked her and wasn't looking for a permanent chick in his life.”
She elbowed him roughly. “Addison!” she snapped.
“Hey, those were his own words!” he defended himself. “Does that sound to you like he's got an eye on her?”
Maddie threw him an ironic yet meaningful sideways glance. “Avoidance, denial, emphasized by a flippant choice of words? I'd say that's a no brainer.”
David looked at her with a frown. “Damn, you do have a point there...” He was going to have a talk with Richie to make sure he didn’t do anything to hurt Terri or he would have to answer to him.

Terri spend the rest of the day thinking and rethinking about her decision, but in the end she had to agree with Maddie: she needed to take the chance, and her first instincts about Richie had told her anyway that he was a good guy, like his brother. And usually she could rely on her gut feeling. So, in the evening she called Richie.
“Terri! You okay?” his deep voice sounded alarmed which she found very sweet.
“Yes, don't worry,” she quickly assured him. “I'm calling because...” she hesitated for a moment, drawing a deep breath, hoping she would do the right thing.
“Come on, shoot!” Richie encouraged, sounding a little nervous himself.
“Is your offer still valid?” she asked. “About Lamaze, I mean?”
“Of course!” came his immediate reply. “About Lamaze and the labor room,” he emphasized. “Look, I know this might sound weird to you, and maybe I don't come off as the ideal...”
“Cut it off, Richie,” she interrupted him with a smile in her voice. “I accept and say thank you.”
“Are you saying you are saying yes?” Richie sounded like he couldn't believe it.
“I don't know how this will turn out,” Terri admitted, “but yes, I'm saying yes.”
After a short silence, he told her: “I swear you won't regret it.”
Terri laughed. “Yeah well, but you might...”
“So, when do we start?” he asked.
“The next lesson will be next Wednesday at 8 pm. I've had already two.”
“I'll pick you up 7:30ish?” Richie suggested eagerly.
“No, I'll pick you up 7:30ish, Adman,” Terri replied dryly. “You don't have a car yet, remember?”

The occasion for David to talk to his brother about his offer to Terri came the next day when Richie asked him to have a look at a few guys who were applying for a bartending job at Philly on Melrose. David picked Richie up at Pete's where he was still staying until he found a place of his own.
“So,” David started as soon as he had started the motor again, “tell me, Rich – what's the deal with Terri?”
“Whaddaya mean?” Richie asked in a deliberately light voice.
“What I mean?” David rolled his eyes. Richie knew damn well what he meant. “Lamaze?”
“Oh, that...” Richie shrugged. “No big deal, bro. I offered to be her partner.” Richie felt a strange flutter in his stomach when he thought about Terri. That hadn’t happened since he was a teenager and it made him happy yet afraid at the same time. He himself didn’t know how he felt about Terri but he had an inkling it was more than friendly feelings that he felt toward the spunky brunette.
“And that's no big deal?” David shook his head. “But Rich... are you aware of what that means?”
Richie nodded seriously. “Sure. She explained the coach thing to me.”
“The coach thing, as you call it, is a big responsibility!” David pointed out. “Are you sure you can pull it off? In the labor room?”
Richie threw his younger brother an angry look. “Hey, if you can do it why shouldn't I be able to?” he shot at him.
“But I'm the father, remember?!” David snapped in exasperation.
“Oh, and that automatically qualifies you to be a coach??” Richie snarled sarcastically.
David threw Richie a ‘are you kidding’ look. “Um well yeah it kinda helps that the bambina is mine.”
Richie shrugged. “Well the dad isn’t around so really who’s to know it ain’t mine?”
David looked at his brother closely. “You know it isn’t.”
“Okay but if I put my mind to this coach thing I know I can do as good a job as you – as someone who is the real father.” Richie looked over at David. “Why you don’t think I can pull it off as you put it?”
David snorted. “Of course not,” he replied. “But... Rich, this is not a competition!”
“I know it's not, Dave,” Richie assured him. “She's a friend, and I wanna help. That good enough for you?”
David threw his brother a questioning look. “A friend, huh?” he echoed in a meaningful tone. “Or more?”
Richie firmly met his brother's inquiring stare. “Maybe,” he answered honestly, “I dunno. She's...” he stopped and fell silent for a moment, looking for the right words but finding he couldn't, didn't want to analyze this any further at the moment. So, he just repeated: “A friend.” He really didn’t want to get into his feelings for Terri with David at this time since he was still ambivalent about his feelings.
David nodded thoughtfully. “Okay. A friend then.” He cleared his throat. “You do know what you don't do to a friend, right?”
Richie rolled his eyes. “Dave...”
“You don't let her down,” David interrupted in a no-nonsense voice, like he were the older brother lecturing the younger one. “Understand?”
“I won't,” Richie replied as firm.
“Good.”

The next couple of weeks passed by quickly. David and Maddie were buy finalizing the final details of the wedding – more Maddie than David - but now she understood David’s viewpoint and instead of making her angry it gave her a warm feeling. They had the rest of their lives together and althought the wedding day was important it was what came after that really mattered. Richie had accompanied Terri to two of her Lamaze classes and despite Richie’s fears being her coach didn‘t feel awkward at all. He had also found a small studio and was going to move in the following month. Everything seemed to be going smoothly except for one detail. Richie and his partners were dismayed when they realized how few good bartenders were available. They knew from their own vast experience of hanging out in bars that a bartender could make or break a bar. They were lucky to have found 2 decent prospects but neither was available to work on Friday nights. David had an idea that he ran by the other men and they were delighted with his idea.
***
“You what?” Maddie shouted; she was not as delighted as Richie and his friends with David’s idea.
“It’s only one night a week!” David explained his hands moving animatedly, “what’s the big deal?”
David couldn’t understand why Maddie was so upset. He would only be tending bars on Friday nights and it was only going to be until another bartender was found for that shift. He had enough experience as a bartender to help Richie and his friends out and give them a good start. He didn't understand how Maddie, always having told him he should be more supportive towards his brother, could not see this.
Maddie put her hands over her head as she paced around the living room. Couldn’t he see why she was so upset? He knew perfectly well that, for a long time, it had always been her fear that he would be out carousing in bars; that had been one of the reasons she had shied away from a relationship him, and it had taken her a lot of time to overcome that fear. Now she was supposed to put up with him being in a bar every Friday night for God knew how many weeks or even months? Okay, he wouldn’t be carousing, he would be helping out his brother, and she knew that was basically a good thing to do and what she always had demanded from him, but by being supportive she hadn't meant bartending – helping Richie was fine, but she still didn’t like the idea one bit.
It wasn’t that she didn’t trust him, but she wasn’t happy with the idea of a slew of younger, hotter women hanging all over him while she was home with her post-baby body nursing their child. Okay, maybe she was jealous; but then that was her damn right – what was love without jealousy anyway? Besides, she knew that David would go insane with jealousy if he was in her shoes. That thought fueled her anger. And the fact that he hadn’t even discussed it with her before he volunteered was inexcusable. “Didn’t you think that this was something you needed to run by me before you offered your help?” Her eyes threw blue bullets his way.
“Well, I didn’t think I needed your approval,” David snapped, feeling already a little uncomfortable.
“I’m going to be your wife!” Maddie shot back. Really, David? Wasn't that reason enough?!
David nodded waving his hands about. “Yes my wife, not my mother or my keeper.”
Maddie looked at him like he had grown a second head. “We’ve had this conversation before, David! Or have you forgotten that we agreed to discuss things together then make a decision together?” She remembered when she had set this same fight in motion when she had gone behind David's back looking for daycare centers without even bringing up the subject before. And they had agreed afterward that they would discuss things before making any decisions! Didn’t he rmember that?
“This is different!” David shouted trying to convince her as much as himself; maybe he had been wrong to offer his help before talking it through with Maddie, but there was no way he could renege on his promise now.
“How is it different?” Maddie poked.
David just stared at her with green ice. Really, Maddie? He knew she was right about discussing things before making decisions, but she should be the last person to throw a stone at him when it came to that – and was she really going to compare his decision to bartend at his brother's bar for a few weeks to her decision to look for a daycare center for their child? How could she not see that this was totally different?
”No answer?” she snarled.
“I’m doing it, Maddie,” he told her quietly, icily. “It’s only one night a week, and it’s only for the time being until they find another bartender. I highly doubt it will be longer than a few weeks anyway. It’s critical, especially to a new bar, to find the best bartenders!”
Maddie pointed her finger at him like it was a poison dart. “And it is critical to our life together that you don’t make a decision like this without my consent!” Consent wasn’t the word she was looking for, but it had just flown out of her mouth in anger.
When David heard the word consent he saw red. “Consent? Now I need your permission?” David spat out. “You mean like you asked my fucking consent before you made the decision to put our daughter in a daycare center? And how is this not different?!”
Maddie gasped with red-hot fury and a little pang of guilt. What a low shot! “And you freaked out like a banshee because I hadn't talked to you before!” she quickly – but accurately – accused him. “And now you go and do the same? Are we equal partners in this relationship or not?” She put her hands to her hips in a menacing gesture.
David knew she basically she was right – even if these two occasions couldn't really be compared; he also knew that he would freak out too if he was in her shoes. Quickly, he brushed that thought aside. “Well, babe, right now you're acting like you're my boss,” he snapped, “and you’re not by boss – or my wife – yet.” The moment his words were out, he regretted them already. He realized he was acting exactly like Maddie would – dish out like a terrier and shooting before thinking; of course, he hadn't meant it like it had sounded. Before he could think of anything to say, he saw her blinds go down.
David’s veiled threat hit Maddie like a hot poker right through her heart. How dare he? Now she saw redder than red. “Fuck you, David Addison!” Maddie cried as she ran up the stairs in tears. “Maybe that yet will never happen!”
***

***
***
***
